Simple:Press + CubePoints

This plugin is designed for Simple:Press 5, set to release sometime on/after July 2011.

This plugin integrates with the CubePoints WordPress plugin (not actually written by me) to let users gain points by posting topics and replying to topics in a Simple:Press forum.

The plugin offers a new admin panel to Simple:Press that allows users to configure the points earnt, whether to log points and whether to remove points if posts are deleted.

Features

  • First ever third-party Simple:Press 5 plugin
  • Configurable points given for topics and posts
  • Compatible with Simple:Press core plugin “post-rating”, awarding users for voting on posts
  • Can choose to add to your CubePoints log file or not
  • Can choose whether deleting posts also deletes points
  • Fail-safe detection of CubePoints will warn you if you’re missing the required plugin

Do you have any plans to continue updating this? I am looking for some sort of Cubepoints/forum integration.

Hi, as far as I’m aware, it was essentially complete when I wrote it. It doesn’t do much, but the code is pretty trivial to expand upon.

Installed CubePoints, settings all on (enabled, etc). It’s not showing up anywhere? Where/how do I get the points to show on the profile or posts?

    Thank you!

This plugin doesn’t add points to your forum profile, it just adds point when you post topics or replies. Please see the screenshots and description above for what it does.
There are relatively few lines of code, so it should be trivially updated. However, I do not use CubePoints nor have the time to dig back into the Simple:Press API to do it now.

Thanks for getting back to me. I know it only adds points when you post or reply, and I have done that. I don’t see anything showing up anywhere, where is it supposed to appear at? The current points. Is it on the profile page?

        Thank you.
